FAQ

Let’s have a look at some of the most frequent questions we get:

Is the outdoor projection visible during the daylight?

No, it isn’t. Here’s why. In short, the Sun gives us so many lumens that even the most powerful projectors in the world cannot outshine it.

Are 6,000 ANSI lumens enough?

Yes and no. The reason why we don’t manufacture the unit with higher light output is that more powerful projectors get pretty bulky. We aimed to design a flexible product, that one person can easily carry around and fix it anywhere (on a tripod, any wall, city light post, etc.). Need more light output? Not an issue – you can combine more LUMITRIX T2 units in a so-called overlay mode as it’s effortless! Two units will then give you 12k ANSI, three units 18k ANSI and so on. Discover our Solutions to understand what kind of buildings are perfect adepts for being illuminated by the T2 and how many you may need. You can find the Solutions section above at the main panel of this website.

What is the ideal distance from the illuminated building/object?

There isn’t anything like ideal distance. Distance is just one of the parameters that matter if we’re talking about projection visibility. The other two are a) object reflectivity (the brighter surface, the better visibility) and b) ambient light around (the less ambient light around the better visibility). So how can you tell if the T2 is the right option for your project and from which distance should you shine? Use our Configurator. You can simulate your project by adjusting all the parameters that matter in one place.

How much will I pay for content?

Here’s a full article on different ways how to create content for LUMITRIX devices. If you need a bespoke mapping that is custom developed for your project, it can cost tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands EUR. See an example of advanced video mapping HERE or HERE. Simpler mapping loops for superior light design (example HERE), will most probably cost you a few thousands or maximum tens of thousands EUR. And then, there are so many things you can do free of charge by yourself. Anyone can become a VJ or a light designer by using our built-in library of content. Uploading your content has never been more comfortable too! Forget about purchasing new gobo every time you want to change content! Just upload any picture or video to Lumiverse app and project it anywhere you want!

What are your payment terms?

We standardly accept full upfront payment. Due to our limited (but quickly developing) distribution network, shipping to remote countries without having money in the bank could be a risky business for us. If upfront payment is not suitable in your case, feel free to contact our sales team or one of our partners around the world.

Aw, this was a very good post. Taking the time and actual effort to make a great article… but what can I say… I put things off a whole lot and don’t manage to get nearly anything done.
